Educational film Dance Matilda is a success, CertiCon is a proud partner

We are delighted to share in the success of Waltzing Matilda, a film that CertiCon co-wrote. This film, which deals with the sensitive subject of Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on interpersonal relationships, is enjoying international success.

The film has been accepted into competition at the prestigious Santa Fe International Film Festival, which will take place between October 16 and 20, 2024. The film will be screened on October 19.
It also achieved a great placing among the semi-finalists at the major Flickers’ Rhode Island festival, where it was among the 7,500 films in competition. It then advanced to the top 10% of over 6,000 films at the Austin International Film Festival.

The film has also had further success at Czech Centers in the U.S., where it is scheduled to screen in Washington, D.C. and Porto Rico, and continues to submit to other international festivals, including those in Boston.

Dance Matilda has been seen by more than 94,000 viewers in the Czech Republic and another 14,000 in Slovakia. The film is also available on the Netflix platform, where it has the opportunity to reach a wider international audience.

CertiCon is grateful to have been able to contribute to this successful project, which not only entertains but also helps spread awareness of important social issues.

We thank all those involved in its creation and promotion, and hope that the film’s success will continue to grow.
