CertiCon a.s. is aware of the extraordinary social importance of educating the public in the safe and effective use of digital technologies. It has long supported the introduction and development of the non-profit international concept of digital literacy and digital competences ECDL/ICDL in the Czech Republic.

The Czech Republic is becoming a pioneer in digital education and certification of digital competences. We are the first country in the world to allow candidates for internationally recognised ECDL/ICDL certificates to use artificial intelligence tools during the exams.

What can this mean for you?

• You’ll be better prepared for a future career that will be increasingly dependent on digital technologies and digital skills.

The first certification exams in the education sector using AI technologies will take place after the summer holidays this year.

Commercial training and certification centres will be able to offer them from May 2024 HERE.

Recognition of ECDL certificates in matriculation examinations

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) has extended the experimental verification of the recognition of international certificates of digital competences in matriculation examinations until 30 September 2025. This means that other schools wishing to offer this option to their students can apply until the end of June.

Recognition of internationally valid certificates in matriculation examinations:

• Stimulates students to deepen their digital knowledge and skills.
• It will improve the chances of school leavers to gain quality employment in the labour market.

ECDL/ICDL certificates are internationally recognised, so they can help open doors to better job opportunities almost anywhere in the world.
