The Chairman of the Board
In 1996 professor Mařík became one of the founders of CertiCon a.s., of which he has been the Chairman of the Board and the Executive Director since 2010.
Professor Mařík’s professional passion is artificial intelligence and its use in automatic control and in decision support and planning systems, especially with regard to the practical needs in industry, as well as being interested in multi-agent and knowledge systems and soft computing.
He has co-authored more than 170 scientific publications and holds 5 US patents. He was awarded by the Doctor Honoris Causa degreee at BUT Brno (2013) and the NIMS University Jaipur, India (2023).
For his scientific achievements, Prof. Mařík has received the Czechoslovak State Prize (1989), the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art (2003), the Invention Prize (Česká hlava 2010) and the Medal for Merit in the field of science (awarded by the President of the Czech Republic in 2017).
